Admissions
King's College welcomes applications from boys and girls. The two major entry points to the College are at Year Nine (Form Three) for boys and Year 12 (Form Six) for girls. Boys are occasionally admitted at other levels if places become available.

The enrolment procedure commences when an Application for Admission form is completed and forwarded to the College Admission's Director. This form may be forwarded to the College at any time prior to the end of a boy's Year Seven (Form One) year, or the first term of a girl's Year Eleven (Form Five) year.

All applicants are interviewed by the Headmaster. The aim of the interview is for the Headmaster to gain some knowledge of the all-round ability and interests of each candidate. The interview is an integral part of the admission procedure and no exceptions are made to this process .A tour of the College is arranged at the same time.

All Year 9 applicants are required to sit the College Entrance and Classification Tests in English, Mathematics, and General Aptitude, held during May of the applicant's Year Eight (Form Two) year. The results of these tests, along with other admission criteria, are used to determine the order in which places at the College are allocated. An offer of a place is then made to successful candidates, and a limited amount of time is allowed for completion and return of an Admission Agreement, which must be signed by the parents/guardians and the candidate.

Interviews for girls entering the College at Form 6 (Year 12) level are held during Term 2 of the girl's Form 5 year. There is no formal Entrance Test for girls entering the College, but their existing school reports are reviewed during the application process.

We welcome visits from the families of prospective students. Contact the Admissions Director to arrange this. Two Campus Tours are held each term and these are advertised on the website and in the local press.
